Meet the T- E - A - M Family!

Okay, I know it sounds odd...meet the TEAM family, but there is a story behind it! First off, let me say that I did not make that up, Jennifer and Russell made up this system to call their children to them.....by saying "TEAM", which is short for Timothy, Emma, Andrew and Matthew. Cute! Now the youngest and newest member of TEAM is Andrew and he still needs to learn the ropes, but isn't he the cutest!

This is the fourth family session I have done for this family. They are always so much fun and I am going to miss them all so much when they move next year!

Just the Girls ~ Emily and her Mama

Emily and her mom met me the other day to get some special Mom and Daughter portraits. Emily's mama is expecting their fifth baby and this new baby's sex is a secret. Emily is the only girl :) I had a great time hanging out with them. Here are a few of my favorites!

August 25th Wedding ~ Sam & Darren

This was a beautiful wedding that I got to shoot just a few days after my own wedding anniversary. Sam and Darren were going to honeymoon at the same place my hubby and I did, Napeli Point in Hawaii :) I'm sure they had an awesome time! Thanks to Alisha Clark for inviting me to shoot with her!
While Sam was putting on her dress, the little flower covered her eyes...she was so cute.

I got to hang out with the boys and capture some fun shots.

This little girl was waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle. When she saw me, she just giggled.
This was my first wedding at the Missouri Botanical Gardens and it was beautiful! It had rained the night before and this day was just gorgeous. There were so many places to take great pictures and this couple was so natural together, it was so much fun.

This is the Chihuly glass art that is displayed when you walk in the entrance door. It is breath taking, so detailed and beautiful. I just love it!

Sam and Darren had many, many, many wedding pies. It was a nice alternative to cake. They organized lots of details and it really showed! Congratulations!

Celebrating 40 years of Fun!

John and his family are from Iowa and they came to Saint Louis to celebrate his parent's 40th wedding anniversary. We met at Forrest Park and it was a beautiful day. Not too hot, no rain...just perfect!

The Happy Couple! 40 years of a lot of happiness...It was fun to share some time with these two. It was obvious that the "spark" was still burning bright between them.

The grandchildren :) They were so much and eager to explore the area. You can tell they have a lot of fun together.

8 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:

1. My good friend Carey (who tagged me) mentored me. When I began photography I was known as Barefoot Memories by Kelly.

2. My first job that I ever had was working for the Auto Trader. I took pictures of cars, boats, RV's and Etc

3. I'm not a very good swimmer, but I'm scuba certified.

4. I HATE folding clothes and putting them away. I have a corner in my house that I stack and stack and stack until it spills over.

5. I wear flip flops everyday, but not in the winter (it snows in STL). I like the flops that sparkle...so I buy Swaraski crystals and embellish my Havaianas and make them shine!

6. My hair is naturally curly, but you will only see it straight :)

7. About once every three-four months I get together with a group of gals and we cook the entire day. We freeze dinner portions and have great meals for the months ahead. This has been a great way for me to have yummy meals with not a lot of work. My husband was not keen on this idea as he is what I call a food "snob", but my friends and I have been pretty creative and all are happy.

8. I was once accused of kidnapping my daughter in Target. My eldest Rebecca has blue eyes and blond hair. Another lady told the security guard that she was not mine, but I was forcing her to stay by my side. I was questioned and released after a 1/2 hour.

I am tagging my new friend Alicia whom I met on a photographer's forum...as we share very similar stories!

First Day of School!

Rebecca and Hannah returned to school on Tuesday. They were so excited and I have to admit I was a little too :) Hannah was very proud to begin first grade and show everyone that she is now toothless! Rebecca was ready to show Hannah the ropes in staying a full day at school.
Hannah's teacher Mrs. Abelin is great, she had her in Pre-K and we are thrilled she is now teaching first grade. Hannah and her buddy Audrey!
The kids were so excited to line up and get started.

Joshua's first day of school was yesterday. He insisted on wearing a green shirt, since it is his favorite color.
Here they all are! Ready to go...Jacob starts his preschool program next week! I'll have time to catch up on my blog entries.

BIG NEWS: I purchased a new website template and should have it live by next week. I'm really excited to show you the new things I have been working on....including my new Wedding Website!

Happy 10 Year Wedding Annivery!

On August 23rd, my husband Patrick and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast times flies. It has been amazing 15 years that I would not trade for anything (we dated 5 years prior).

Patrick you are an encouraging, loving, caring, devoted man that I am truly blessed to call my husband. I look forward to our many years ahead!

Beautiful Colorful Traditional Indian Wedding♦

This was a BEAUTIFUL wedding that I got to second shoot with an awesome photographer Joe Cogliandro .
The wedding started out with a carriage ride in downtown Saint Louis. The groom rode in the carriage and members of the wedding and guests danced in front of him. There was a lady blowing a conch announcing the groom.
The details of this wedding was really beautiful. These flowers and bells hung over the arch that the bride walked under.
Isn't this cake beautiful? It was YUMMY!!!
The colors were amazing!

The bride walked around her groom seven times before she sat down. While she walked around him he had a curtain in front of him so he could not see her.

I love this shot. These gals were so much fun!

Joe and I took the bride and groom outside before the reception. This gorgeous couple was so comfortable with one another. They really made our job easy!

This is was such a fun wedding. The music was energetic, the guests were enthusiastic and everything was perfect!!!

Rebecca and Ben had a beautiful wedding in Illinois. This was my first official wedding by myself!!! I had a great time. Here are a few of my favorites!

Mason and Madeline

Last week, I was able to share some time with some special friends of ours! Madeline and Mason are get friends of my kiddos and their parents are great friends of ours! They have a beautiful backyard that we were able to have fun with it before they sell it :) Here are a few of my favorites.
All I have to say to Mason is "Don't Smile" and he always gives me a great one!
Madeline is a born model, she always has great expressions.

Happy First Birthday Caden!!!

This is sweet Caden when he was only a few weeks old! He is now ONE and full of energy and personality. I had so much fun with him and his parents. I love when I get to see my clients grow!

New Baby Brother Caleb

This little guy is such a sleepy head! I think I had a total of 15 minutes with him before he fell back to sleep. Joshua Stephen is so proud of his new little brother. He loves to read to him and tell his mama what he's up too....now his little brother isn't up to much, but luckily Joshua Stephen is already one step ahead!
Joshua Stephen loves reading books, he wanted to read to his little brother. It was so sweet to see them cuddled up so close.

TTD ~ Trash The Dress

Yesterday I met with five other local photographers and we had a really great time "Trashing the Wedding Dress" in downtown Saint Louis! This is a really fun session for brides to get more candid portraits in their wedding dress!

Thanks so much Carrie for joining in on our fun and modeling for us! These last couple pictures were taken in the lake by the arch. Carrie was a trooper for jumping in! You did a great job "Trashing the Dress"!

Twin Little Sisters and Twin Bigger Sisters

I had the pleasure of meeting this family here at Covenant Seminary. These beautiful girls are so sweet and were so much fun! I had a great time with this family. If I can remember correctly, their first set of twins are almost two and the second set are almost one.

Grandma sent the girls these gorgeous dresses for this portrait session. They were definitely the perfect touch!

Jessica and Shawn's Wedding

It's official, my little sister is married! Congratulations to you both!!!
We arrived in San Diego a few days before the wedding. I was able to run some last minute errands with my mom and sister.

It was an honor to be a part of the planning for this beautiful wedding, to be my sisters maid of honor and to gain a wonderful brother in law.
The morning of the wedding, Jessica was very calm. She started to tear up while practicing her vows (we all did)! After we were done at the salon, we were off to the Prado in Balboa Park.
Jessica had a little frame with a picture of our grandpa in it on her bouquet. Our grandfather passed away about five years ago, he is still very missed.
Jessica and Shawn both "lit" up when they saw each other for the first time.
Luckily for me, Jessica and Shawn took pictures before their wedding. I was able to run around with them and put my dress on about 10 minutes before the wedding. It was so much fun taking pictures with Abby, (www.abigailkreusergallery.com).

Since it was Memorial weekend, the park was very crowded with visitors. Some took a few of their own pictures and one video taped the wedding ceremony.

My sweet husband Patrick surprised me with two nights in Las Vegas before the wedding. This was our first "6 days" without our children. We had a FABULOUS time (Thank you Uncle Kevin and & Aunt Stephanie ~ and my sister in law Laura for taking this picture)! This August 23rd we will celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!

It's a Girl!

Last night I was able to join Dave and Tracey in the birth of their baby. Dave and Tracey are very special friends of ours with such a beautiful story ~ it was an honor for me to be with them.
I arrived around 4:30pm and Tracey was fully dilated, but you wouldn't know it because she was feeling good and smiling! Things turned a bit around 8pm and Margaret made her entrance a few hours later.

This little guy is only 5 weeks old. He has the sweetest grin and the most beautiful eyes. You can't look at his little face and not smile! His big brother loved holding him and giving him kisses. You could see how proud he was of his little brother. This family was so much fun to work with. They were all very relaxed and just enjoyed their time together.

At the Park with the Park's

It has been raining here for the past two days. Grandma Park came for a visit and we were not able to get out and see the sites here in Saint Louis. She did suggest buying a raft and going river rafting :) It was raining much harder then it does in San Diego.

My kiddos and I stopped at Forrest Park today and Tower Grove to burn some "stored" up energy today. It was beautiful!!!

I always try for the "group" shot....with four little ones, you never know what your are gonna get when you are photographing your own!

The Covenant Church Community

Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to be a part of The Covenant Church community. I was asked to take portraits during the 9:00 Sunday school classes and the 11:00am church service. It was wonderful to walk around and explore the church. Pastor Jon Medlock lead the congregation in worship and Senior Pastor Ryan Laughlin shared God's word.

Fun Times in San Diego

My sister's bridal shower was last week! I can't believe that in less then a month Jessica will be married. I was able to go to San Diego and help with Jessica's reception plans (at the Prado in Balboa Park) , it is going to be absolutely beautiful! I was also able to go to Jessica's wedding dress fitting ~ Her dress is STUNNING! I am definitely bringing my camera for the "pre-wedding" shots. The few days that I was there was wonderful. It was great to see my family and friends and know exactly where I was :)

My nephew Collin, 6 months, tagged along with his Mama to the bridal shower. I haven't seen this little guy since Christmas. He is adorable and full of smiles. I had to take some shots of him!

My new niece, Moria came with her mama. Moria is 9 weeks old here. This is the first time I met Moria and she is simply beautiful. She was a bit hungry when I snapped a few of these shots, so her mini session was limited.
Check out my friend Carey's blog. I was able to sneak away from the wedding plans for a few hours to go to Rubio's (yummy). We had a great time and captured a few silly shots.

Good Clean Fun ... or Not!

After the rain, comes...the PUDDLES!!! My son Jacob and his buddy Micah got into some good clean fun the other day. They had a blast rolling, running and splashing around in the puddles. It was great fun to watch them.

Last week I had the pleasure of taking portraits of 3 year old Emily and 6 month old Isaiah and their parents :) It was a beautiful day in Missouri and the weather was perfect! Emily brought a cool pair of shades and Isaiah had the cutest grin. This family took me to a secret spot in Missouri that was gorgeous. Here are a few of my favorites!

Kevin and Stephanie's Wedding

Kevin and Stephanie had a beautiful wedding in San Diego. I was able to capture a few getting ready moments. I had to be quick since I had two flower girls, two ring bearers and myself (the matron of honor) to get ready. Stephanie looked beautiful and was definitely shinning. Congratulations to you both!

Promise Christian Academy Fundraiser

This year I am helping with a fundraiser for Promise Christian Academy. This is a private school for children with special needs. It was started by Dr. Wilson Benton at Kirk of the Hill Presbyterian Church. The school is growing and is moving to a larger location at Westminster Academy. I'm really excited about this project and working with the children and the staff of Promise Christian Academy.

During my recent visit to San Diego, I was able to spend some time with my sister and her fiance Shawn. They are planning a beautiful wedding in May, which will bring me out to San Diego again.
